SARA Multimorbidity Academic Study Day

This half-day session will provide education and discussion around the topic of multimorbidity in health, with an academic focus. Experts from the University of Edinburgh and NHS Lothian will be presenting around the following provisional topics:

  • Overview of multimorbidity

  • The Lothian approach to multimorbidity - House of Care

  • Patient activation in COPD

  • Social prescribing and the approach taken by Link Workers

  • GP experience of multimorbidity and complexity

  • Primary Care Policy and multimorbidity

MIMS Workshops, Respiratory Allergy Learning Series Meeting

This is a FREE event, funded and hosted by Mylan, open to healthcare professionals. 

Chair: Professor Jürgen Schwarze,  Paediatrician Specialising in Allergy and Respiratory Medicine and Edward Clark Chair of Child Life and Health, University of Edinburgh

Depart M8 at J19, following signs for City Centre. On Bothwell Street stay in the left-hand lane and turn left at the traffic lights onto Pitt Street. (There is a sign for Marriott). At the traffic lights turn left onto St Vincent Street, then turn left at the traffic lights onto Newton Street, again stay in the left-hand lane and follow down to the traffic lights. Turn left at the traffic lights and the Marriott Hotel is on your left-hand side. Turn left into the car park.

  • On-site parking, fee: £3 hourly, £10 daily

Primary Care Paediatric Allergy Training (repeat event)

The Children and Young Peoples Allergy Network Scotland (CYANS) is running free GP allergy training sessions. The training consists of two compulsory parts, worth 5 CPD credits, and is delivered by local allergy specialists.

1st part: Online allergy training package, developed by the Anaphylaxis campaign will take approximately 3-5 hours of study time, to be completed before the face to face training.
 
2nd part: Face to face study day delivered by local allergy specialist clinicians (CPD accredited). The day is designed to continue the learning from the online package, provide practical skills and resources for you to use in your clinical practice and give you the chance to ask the specialists questions and network with other clinicians with an interest in allergy from your local area.
